I went to the BCC Adjunct Conference this evening and it was something of a non-event. I have to admit I was grateful for the brevity, but would have preferred to sit it out at home and avoid the cold.

I’ve started this blog with a number of ulterior motives and purposes. Among them a tool for teaching, sharing, collaborating and experimenting. (Not to mention shameless self-promotion) It is my hope that you will come here often, post your thoughts, criticisms, suggestions, questions, requests and yes proposals.

Do you mean nobody showed up? Or nothing got done? It's hard to stay motivated if nobody is even there....
Hopefully it was your weather which kept them away.

Well, I'm not sure, but some of my colleagues were there, but there was no departmental meeting. I'm thinking there was a missed communication? (I guess I diddn't get that memo)No matter, academia marches on.
